Nominate a Role Model for Chancellor’s Excellence in Professional Service Award

The campus community is invited to submit nomination letters for the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
Letters of nomination must be addressed to the Selection Committee, and sent to Assistant to the Provost Lauren Romer, no later than Tuesday, 6/30.
In compliance with SUNY guidelines, individuals may not self-nominate for the award.

Nominees for the award must have sought improvement of themselves, their campus, and SUNY, and must transcend the normal definitions of excellence. Updated criteria for the award is coming, but you may reference the previous cycle’s criteria.
Eligibility Criteria and Candidate Background: Candidates must be serving in full-time professional capacity (not necessarily titles), with more than 50% of their assignment in non-teaching services. The Professional Service award is reserved for staff working full-time. Full-time faculty are not eligible, and support staff not serving in professional-class titles are ineligible for nomination.
Local Selection Committee Requirements for Professional Service: Candidates must have at least five academic years of service to the College.
The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service recognizes consistently superior professional achievement within and beyond the position.
