According to the American Psychiatric Association, “Eating disorders are illnesses in which the people experience severe disturbances in their eating behaviors, and related thoughts and emotions. People with eating disorders typically become pre-occupied with food and their body weight.”
Any of this sound familiar? Then there’s help and hope for you, at Eating Disorders Awareness Day. For two hours, staff from Campus Mental Health Services will help you identify signs of eating disorders and give free screenings.
The event is co-sponsored by Campus Mental Health Services and Critical Student Issues Alliance.
