FSC Is SUNY’s Top-rated Campus for Best Return on Investment, and the #1 Public in NYS
March 2, 2020
FSC is top-rated again – twice.
This time, LendEDU has identified the College as #1 among SUNY schools in its fifth annual College Risk-Reward Indicator study, and the top-rated New York public school on the list. Overall, FSC is eighth in the state, behind schools such as Colgate University, Cornell University, The Juilliard School, and Barnard College.
For the College Risk-Reward Indicator, LendEDU defined the risk of attending a four-year college or university as the average student loan debt per graduate at that institution. The reward of attending that same four-year college or university is the average early career pay for graduates. Average early career pay is defined as the median salary for alumni with bachelor’s degrees with 0 to 5 years’ work experience.
The study analyzed 798 four-year colleges and universities to find the institutions with the best return on investment for the average student. On average, an FSC graduate’s “early career pay” is $52,500, and loan debt, $10,803. On Long Island, SUNY’s Stony Brook University placed second, at #167. The only other Long Island school, Adelphi University, landed at #401.
