FSC Professor Speaks at World Youth Forum in Egypt

Dr. Yetunde Odugbesan-Omede, visiting assistant professor in the Department of History, Politics and Geography, was honored recently by Egyptian President Abdelfatteh El Sisi, with an invitation to speak at the World Youth Forum. Her topic was “Global Sustainability and The Role of Women and Youth in Politics.”
“I shared the stage with esteemed panelists and spoke on the various pathways to global development and sustainability,” said Dr. Odugbesan-Omede. “With over 7,000 participants and youth from all over the world, Egypt truly set the stage on the importance of young people in achieving sustainable development.”
The World Youth Forum presents an opportunity for global youth to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential leaders. Participants engage with top policymakers, and network with youth from around the world determined to make the world a better place. It is attended by heads of state and government, young leaders, prominent international figures, and youth groups.
