CTLT Conference Will Highlight Innovations in the Classroom

This year’s CTLT annual conference features lightning-round presentations by FSC faculty who have received project funding through Students First Campus Grants, Applied Learning incentives, and other funds meant to inspire innovations in the classroom. Register here.

Sessions begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Breakfast will be served 8:30 – 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided, and two $100 Barnes & Noble gift cards will be raffled at the conclusion of the event.

Keynote speaker is Dr. Randall Bass, Vice Provost for Education and Professor of English, Georgetown University. FSC presenters include:

  • Dr. Eddie Davis – Improving student learning through classroom engagement, using interactive classroom-response technology
  • Dr. Michael Figuccio – Examining the efficacy of e-service-learning
  • Dr. Ahmad Alzaghal and Dr. Katelynn DeLuca – Wireless classroom
  • Dr. Brian O’Keefe – Augmented and virtual reality in the classroom
  • Dr. Jing Betty Feng – Driving multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation through Innovation Challenge
  • Professor Dylan Gafarian – Alternative spring break
  • Dr. Timothy Nicholson – Reflections on overlapping themes in sociology and history, and student experiences
  • Professor Danielle Apfelbaum – Moderating a panel presentation on Open Educational Resources, featuring Dr. Chiara DeSanti, Dr. Timothy Nicholson, and Dr. Carly Tribull
