Become a Certified Drone Pilot
November 18, 2019
A six-session Remote (Drone) Pilot Certification Program is being offered at FSC beginning Saturday, 2/1, 2020, and running six consecutive Saturdays from 9 a.m. – noon. There is a $595 non-refundable fee for the class, which will meet in Gleeson Hall Room 320.
The program will focus on the safe operation of drones in the National Airspace System, and prepare students for the FAA certification exam required for licensure to operate a drone for commercial purposes.
The course will not teach students how to fly drones, since the FAA does not require certified pilots to know how to fly a drone in order to be licensed.
When registering for the class, be sure you can commit to these six Saturdays: 2/1/ – 3/7, 2020.
