FSC Nationally Recognized as a “Transformational College”
October 21, 2019
Last month we reported Money magazine identifying FSC in the top 40% of colleges in “Best Colleges for Your Money,” and saying we are “a crucial part of the SUNY system.”
Also, from that national poll, FSC is cited as a “transformational school.” Says Money: “It’s not surprising that elite schools report high graduation rates or alumni success. What’s impressive is when students beat the odds by doing better than would be expected from their academic and economic backgrounds. We call this a college’s value add. For this list, we ranked colleges based on our exclusive value-added scores for graduation rates, earnings, and student loan repayment, eliminating schools with below-average scores.”
FSC is ranked second among SUNY colleges (and the only Long Island college). The magazine also noted that FSC students have the second lowest debt in New York, among the 50 colleges ranked.
This is just one of the polls that has cited FSC for its quality and value. No doubt there will be more to come.
