Professor Publishes Book Chapter on Security Guards
September 16, 2019
Dr. Brian Kelly, one of the nation’s leading experts on police body-cameras, has published a chapter in the Encyclopedia of Security and Emergency Management. The chapter is titled “Security Guards: Academic and Training Programs.” Read it here.
According to Dr. Kelly, a member of the Security Systems and Law Enforcement Technology Department, the chapter covers “private-sector needs for more policy and advanced training for corporate security, as well as the wave of security-based curricula in colleges that interests students. They open a separate door for students, aside from traditional law enforcement. Farmingdale is one of the schools identified in the State of New York.”
The book is published by Springer.
