Hal Buckner’s sculpture is on display at Memorial Gallery right now, and Professor Alexandra Giordano is going to talk about the artist and his work.

Says Professor Giordano: “The lecture will present a comparative analysis of Hal Buckner’s sculptures of re-imagined iconic works of art. Buckner’s use of the female figure and her place in art history will be discussed. The lecture will include Buckner’s biography, as well as his inspiration for reinterpreting classical masterpieces with a contemporary twist.”
