FSC Rally 9/17 to Support Car Free Day 9/20
August 26, 2019
Car Free Day is an international event celebrated every September, in which people are encouraged to move around without cars, and instead ride a train, bus, bicycle, carpool, subway, or walk. Long Island will again join in by celebrating its 7th Annual Car Free Day on Friday, 9/20.
Also, set aside Tuesday, 9/17, for a Car Free Day rally at 11 a.m. in the Campus Center Lobby. Farmingdale has participated in this event for the past six years, and let’s make Year 7 the best rally yet.
To participate in Car Free Day, pledge to be car free or car lite on 9/20, by filling out the pledge form. Once you pledge, you’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win prizes. Already car free? Then you’ll get the same chance to win prizes when you submit your pledge form. And by the way, LI colleges and universities have a friendly competition each year, to see which institution can bring in the most pledges. This year, help put FSC over the top!
Last year, Car Free Day was celebrated in 2,800 cities in 54 countries.
