RAM Program Students Span the Globe to Do Summer Research
May 20, 2019
The RAM Program is running on all cylinders – and the excitement heats up even more this summer.
Mostly recently, 33 RAM Scholars presented at the SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) held on campus last month.
Before that, 22 students went to Pennsylvania for a week to help Habitat for Humanity. This summer, a slew of scholars are traveling across the U.S. and to overseas destinations such as Kenya and Scotland.
The programs they represent include Biology; Science, Technology and Society; Computer Programming/Information Systems; Electrical Engineering Technology; Interaction Design; Professional Communications; Criminal Justice, and others.
Research will be conducted at academic institutions and research facilities such as Montana State University, Rutgers, University of Florida, University of California/Berkeley, and Brookhaven National Laboratory. Most of the research and internship opportunities are funded by outside organizations.
