Psychology Student Headed to Australia
April 30, 2019
Sandra Ibrahim ’20 is going to Australia to study this summer, thanks to a $2,000 Diversity Abroad Honors Scholarship. She is an Applied Psychology major.
“I am more than honored to be granted money to explore a country outside our own, and be able to study child psychology in Australia over the summer,” Sandra said.
The scholarship was the result of International Education and Programs’ Agata Knapp’s application submission to SUNY’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Knapp is an Education Abroad advisor at FSC.
“I am so excited that Sandy was selected for the prestigious SUNY Diversity Abroad Honors Scholarship,” said Knapp. “From the start, Sandy was extremely enthusiastic and very mature throughout the entire study abroad application process. I am thankful I was able to assist with nominating Sandy, and I can’t wait to hear about her amazing experience in Australia this summer!”
