Dr. W. Hubert Keen Roundly Praised at Aviation Hall of Fame Ceremony

Former FSC president, Dr. W. Hubert Keen, was warmly welcomed at the recent Aviation Hall of Fame ceremony, where he was the 2018 inductee.

Dr. Michael Canders, director of the Aviation Center, spoke volumes about Dr. Keen’s vision for the Aviation degree program, citing his integrity and leadership in ensuring student safety as a top priority.

“The Center was empowered by President Keen to make necessary organizational changes and build a formal safety management system that is critical for aviation student safety and success,” Dr. Canders said. “The safety management system was audited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International  (AABI) in 2017 and judged to be ‘excellent’.”

Dr. Canders attributed the difficult-to-get AABI accreditation to Dr. Keen’s incomparable management style.
