Professor Speaks at UK Commonwealth Summit

Dr. Yetunde A. Odugbesan-Omede, a visiting professor in the Department of History, Politics and Geography at FSC, recently spoke at the 6th Annual Commonwealth Summit in London, where she shared opening remarks with Cherie Blair, wife of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The event focused on good governance, anti-corruption, and trade in Africa. Dr. Odugbesan-Omede sat on several panels with high-level stake holders, including the Mayor of Croydon, Deputy Secretary General of OECD, founder of Transparency International, and others. She addressed anti-corruption measures, good governance, and the role of women in political leadership.
Dr. Odugbesan-Omede also spoke on the intersectionality of religion and politics, at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
