Familiar Face Returns to FSC
March 26, 2019
Some of the funding from the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) $300K grant to FSC is being used to bring a familiar face back to campus. Erica LoBello (formerly Erica Feldherr), who was an academic counselor with the RAM program during her first stay at FSC, has returned as project coordinator of the grant that will fund a program to help the College create a more diverse faculty.
LoBello has extensive experience in social justice and equity issues, and programs geared towards underrepresented populations. She holds a BA in Political Science from Pace University and an MS in Higher Education, with a concentration in Leadership for Student Success, from Walden University. She was also a Fulbright research scholar, conducting research in Nicaragua.
Among the duties in her new role are implementing and organizing activities related to visiting Stony Brook University doctoral candidates and their FSC teaching mentors; grant/report writing to highlight program successes and obtain potential additional funding, and serving as point of contact for representatives from partner universities.
