Professor’s Journal Impacting Criminal Justice Field
October 15, 2018
If you were editor of a publication that was subscribed to by nearly 2,500 colleges and universities, you’d have to be pretty happy. Well, Professor John Kostanoski – both editor and founder – is. Very much so.
The peer-reviewed quarterly is the Journal of Applied Security Research (published by Routledge), which covers policing, and security operations and practices. It is official journal of the Security and Crime Prevention Section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and by all measures it is held in high regard: it has received numerous citations for its scholarly content by criminal justice researchers, and academics and practitioners hold it in high esteem.
“I am truly impressed with the large number of college and university libraries that hold institutional subscriptions to it,” Professor Kostanoski said. “I believe its extraordinary success is based on its pursuit of the latest developments in theory, practice, and research by leading worldwide scholars, and the fair assessment of that research by leading experts, the anonymous peer reviewers. These are the individuals who deserve the praise for what the journal has accomplished.”
