Own a Horticulture Business? Learn how to Keep Your Income
Dr. Herbert Snyder, professor of accounting, and department chair of accounting, finance, and information systems at North Dakota State University, will give a talk titled “Growing Your Capital: How to keep the money you earn from your horticulture business.” The talk is the first in the Artists and Lecturers Program fall series.
Dr. Snyder teaches in the fields of fraud examination and auditing, and his research is in nonprofit fraud, ethics for auditors, and internal controls. He won the Hubbard Award for best fraud paper in 2005 from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, which also named him Fraud Educator of the Year in 2008.
He won the American Accounting Association’s Innovation in Accounting Education Award 2008, and the AACSB’s 2010 Innovation in Business Education Award for NDSU’s fraud examination curriculum. Before joining the faculty at NDSU he was a Fulbright Scholar in Ukraine and taught at Indiana University. Prior to entering the academic world, he was as a fraud investigator for New York State and intelligence analyst for the U.S. Army.
