The Long Island Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club is meeting at FSC’s Small Business Development Center to host a session with a representative of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), about what all inventors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and start-ups should know about patents and the patent process. The USPTO will talk about all aspects of the patenting process, including types of patents, parts of a patent application, examination process, claims analysis with respect to novelty and obviousness, and office action. This meeting will cover:

• Patent Basics
• Intellectual Property Basics
• Claims Workshop
• Patent Examination Process

Pre-registration is required, and admission is free. Print and post this flyer.
