This summer, Dr. Brian Kelly, security systems and law enforcement technology, presented research on body cameras worn by police, and perceptions of police response to active-shooter situations.
At a conference at Harvard Medical School’s International Journal of Arts and Sciences-Science and Engineering division, Dr. Kelly spoke on “Law Enforcement Technology Integration: A Case Study in Perceptions of Police Body-Worn Cameras in New Jersey.” Dr. Kelly is known in higher education for being the first academic to bring police body cameras into the classroom as a teaching tool.
“The Influence of Tactical Police Capabilities on School Leaders’ Perceptions of Active Shooter Response in Belleville, New Jersey” was his presentation at the International Organization of Social Sciences and Behavioral Research Conference, also held in Boston.
