FSC Alum Takes You on a Journey through His Colorful Life
FSC alum Paul Failla ’73, a former police officer who, after he retired from the force, reinvented himself into an educational consultant, is doing his one-man show, The Class of Life, Wednesday, 8/1, at 1 p.m. at the Elmont Public Library, 700 Hempstead Turnpike. The show is free and open to all.
The Class of Life is a theatrical experience that takes the audience on a journey through one man’s life. It begins on the last day of his career as a police officer. What follows are reminiscences about why he joined the force, his Italian heritage, upbringing, and married life. Using a blend of humor, drama and life experience, Failla takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster through stories chronicling his life.
One audience member posted this comment on Failla’s website: “A wonderful show about family, honor, respect, and growing up Italian with sprinkles of hilarity strewn throughout. I definitely got choked up a few times.”
