SUNY Fredonia Accepting Proposals for Teaching & Learning Conference
June 8, 2018
Proposals are being accepted for the 12th Annual Fredonia Teaching & Learning Conference, being held at SUNY Fredonia on 8/20. Deadline for submissions is midnight, 6/27.
The conference will focus on cultivating learning environments that strengthen student engagement, motivation and retention. Conference activities and presentations provide an opportunity to reflect on where we are, where we came from, and where we are heading. As institutions look for ways to remain competitive while continuing to provide students with quality, affordable educational opportunities, this year’s conference serves as an opportunity for scholarly exchange and discussion, with the ultimate goal of improving student engagement and learning across disciplines.
Proposals for presentations will be accepted on the following tracks:
- Engaging Students in a Virtual World: Technology Inside and Outside the Classroom
- Inclusive Pedagogy
- Universal Design for Learning
- Applied/Experiential Learning: Service Learning, Civic Engagement, Entrepreneurship and Beyond
- Forging Links Between Local and Global Communities
- Open Education Resources (OER) and Open Pedagogy
- Fostering Creative Learning and Students
