Dr. Erica Friedman
Dr. Beverly Kahn, director of FSC’s RAM (Research Aligned Mentorship) Program, and Assistant Director Dr. Erica Friedman, have been awarded $10,000 from SUNY’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for their proposal, “Increasing Access to Summer Research and Project-Based Learning Outcomes for the Research Aligned Mentorship (RAM) Program Scholars.”
The project will support low-income students, minority students, first-generation students, and students with disabilities as an extension of the Research Aligned Mentorship (RAM) program at Farmingdale. Grants in the amount of $1,000 each will go to 10 students from these backgrounds, with FSC’s First in the World Grant funding an additional 13 students, to provide access to rigorous research and hands-on project-based learning opportunities in summer 2018 and summer 2019.
