RAM Program Adds Staff

Dylan Gafarian, counselor, and Sarina Turbendian, administrative coordinator, are the newest members of the RAM Program staff.
Prior to Farmingdale, Gafarian worked as a counselor in the Office of Admissions at Stony Brook University, where he traveled throughout New York State recruiting. He began his career in higher education in the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement at St. Joseph’s College, his alma mater. Gafarian’s educational background includes a BA in Journalism and New Media from St. Joseph’s; an MS Ed in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Hofstra; and a post MS Ed in Humanistic and Multicultural Education from SUNY New Paltz.
Turbendian is an alumna of Farmingdale, where she earned a BS in Professional Communications. She won the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence, and the UUP Eugene P. Link Undergraduate Scholarship, among other accolades. She also attended Trinity College, Dublin, where she earned an MPhil in Popular Literature. Turbendian is a first-generation American, born and raised on LI. She does volunteer work in the community, and has performed several internships, including in the office of U.S. Senator Charles Schumer. |
