Three FSC Teams Headed to NYS Business Plan Regionals

Three entrepreneurial teams were selected last week at the NYS Business Plan Competition, an annual event sponsored by the School of Business. Now the winners will compete at the LI regionals against three teams each from Hofstra, NYIT, Stony Brook and Old Westbury, for cash prizes up to $2,500.

That event  will be held Thursday, 4/12, at Bridgeworks, in Long Beach. Three winning teams will then head to Albany, 4/27, at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

The winning businesses headed to the LI Regionals are:

  • Metric Digital Systems: John-Paul Casanova and Marvin Beaubrun
    The company is focused on providing an affordable CCTV solution for monitoring and securing remote areas without any local wireless networks or power.
  • Being Built: Michael Cassidy
    This worldwide car club provides members a forum for sharing their love for cars.
  • Stublink: Robert V. Checco and Chris Cedeno
    Stublink is a online application that allows people to locate others with similar interests, with the intent of attending events together.
