The Late Fred Harrison Honored by FSC

The campus community is invited to honor the memory of Fred Harrison at the dedication of the Fred R. Harrison Service Complex.

Fred was a beloved member of the Farmingdale State College community. His passing last July prompted a number of suggestions on how he could be appropriately recognized. After consultation with his wife, Carolyn, we thought this would be a suitable way to remember Fred.

Fred was a 1950 horticulture graduate of FSC, and dedicated the vast majority of his professional life at his alma mater. He returned to the College in 1968 and served with distinction in a variety of roles in Physical Plant. His vast institutional knowledge made him an indispensable advisor and a valued colleague who was admired across the campus.

Please join Fred’s family, the College community, and representatives from the Melville Fire Department, where Fred served for many years, to honor this remarkable individual.
