Learn how Crimes are Solved – and be Part of the Crime Scene

Thursday, 4/5, 5:55 – 9:00 p.m.     Sinclair Hall Pit

Come see a realistic mock crime scene investigation – from
incriminating fingerprints and mock crime sceneblood spatter to meddling witnesses and evidence contamination.

Led by Dr. David Byrne, Department of Criminal Justice, the mock crime scene is led by criminalistics students, to put into practice what they have learned during in the classroom. Join them as a participant.

See how they find, document and collect evidence, as well as interview eye witnesses.

Most importantly, find out how critical it is to keep the crime scene from becoming contaminated by curious bystanders. Students will utilize authentic investigative equipment to collect evidence, document findings and  interview witnesses.
