New Amphitheater Promises Concerts, Comedy and More

If you’ve wondered what’s going on in the construction space between Thompson Hall and the Campus Center, wonder no more. An amphitheater is going up.

“We see this location as a multi-use facility,” said Dr. Tom Corti, vice president for student affairs. “The venue provides space for open-air performances such as comedy shows, small theater productions, open forums and concerts. It also may be used for town hall meetings and pep rallies, as well as for student organizations/clubs to set up tables for recruitment, marketing and fundraising.”

The new space is expected to be ready by early summer.
