Conklin Hall Building Managers Wanted

Open only to federal work study students, the building manager job includes assisting with opening and closing of the building; monitoring the overall operation and safety of the building; distributing recreational/table-sports equipment; answering student/faculty/guest questions about the campus;,and assisting with events/programs that occur in the Conklin Hall meeting rooms.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Monitor Conklin Hall by checking on events/activities, enforcing policies, and maintaining safety and security
  • Assist with room reservations (lock/unlock facilities), and facility maintenance
  • Provide customer service and other related information services
  • Prepare reports based on Conklin Hall’s activities during the shift
  • Report and log any problems in the building

Job requirements:

  • You must be a matriculated student during the time of employment, taking at least six credits
  • Can demonstrate:
    • Basic computer knowledge and skills
    • Excellent customer-service skills
    • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, and be able to assess priorities
    • Flexible hours and willingness to assist with timely deadlines

Work hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 – 6 p.m. (8 hours/week) or Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 – 6 p.m. (6 hours/week). Pay is $11/hour.
