Cutting-Edge Artist/Writer Molly Crabapple Speaks, Exhibits at FSC
February 5, 2018
Tuesday, 2/13, 11 a.m. – noon
Gleeson Hall Room 104
Molly Crabapple is an internationally heralded artist and writer living in New York. Her work has been described as “God’s own circus posters,” by Rolling Stone, and “equal parts Hieronymus Bosch, William S. Burroughs and Cirque du Soleil,” by The Guardian. But beneath the lavishly detailed surface, it engages injustice and rebellion.
Her lecture is part of the Memorial Gallery exhibition titled “Scribing Reality: A Survey of Reportage Works by Molly Crabapple,” which runs through 4/9.
A reception for the artist and book signing will be held Tuesday, 2/13 from 5 – 7 p.m. in Hale Hall.
