Biology Research Seminar Series Kicks Off 2/1

Dr. Daniel Hanley, a member of the biology faculty at LIU Post, will give a talk titled “Uncovering Evolutionary and Cognitive Patterns Using Eggshell Pigments.” The talk is open to all.
In his presentation, Dr. Hanley will explain how to quantify colors objectively, describe how we estimate color perception in other organisms, introduce research approaches to investigate cognition in the field, and highlight research by students in his lab who are uncovering ecological and evolutionary selection pressures on these colorful traits.
