Magdalena Sanchez Overton has joined the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement, as Director of Database Management and Prospect Research. In her new position she is responsible for centralizing an alumni and donor database, which includes streamlining current gift processing and reporting, maintaining current alumni and donor records, enhancing alumni engagement, donor recognition, stewardship and prospect development.
Overton – who has had a career in Database Management and Prospect Research that spans two decades – comes to FSC from St. Joseph’s College/Brooklyn Campus, where she served as the Director of Advancement Services, and provided the data and direction to raise more than $50 million for scholarships, academic programs and capital projects. She also has built and customized donor databases for Buckley Country Day School and Adelphi University.
As a gifted prospect researcher, Overton has identified major donor prospects resulting in millions of dollars in donations and planned gifts. She has created, managed and maintained thousands of donor records, ensuring the success of both fundraising and alumni engagement programs.
