Investigating the Controversial Death of Freddie Gray
December 4, 2017
Tuesday, 12/5 and Thursday, 12/7, 12:15 – 1:30 p.m. Lupton Hall Room 130A
Students from Dr. LaNina Cooke’s Law Enforcement and Community Relations class will analyze the death of Freddie Gray, a Baltimore resident who died last April of spinal cord injuries a week after being arrested by local police.
A mock court proceeding, based on criminal charges filed against six officers involved in the arrest, will include opening arguments, presentations by the “defense” and “prosecutors,” and an examination of “evidence.”
