SUNY Awards Grant to FSC Nursing Faculty Members

Nursing faculty members Drs. Jennifer Bryer and Patti Cantamessa have been awarded a $10,000 Explorations in Diversity and Academic Excellence Grant by SUNY, to fund a workshop on diversity in healthcare education next April.

The purpose of the workshop is to analyze factors associated with healthcare disparities, by educating faculty, students and the public about the relationship between the lack of diversity among the healthcare workforce, lack of diverse health professions students, and inadequate access to healthcare by minority populations.
