FSC has a New VP for Development and Philanthropy
May 15, 2017
Nancy Connors has been named FSC’s new Vice President for Development and Philanthropy. The announcement was made by President Nader in a message to the campus.
“Nancy has experience in fundraising, and is perfectly suited to lead our increasing efforts and plans in corporate development, major gifts, capital campaigns and alumni relations,” President Nader said.
“With our emphasis on external funding, Nancy’s expertise will be critical to developing new ways to raise Farmingdale’s endowment, to replace funds not allotted by the state, and to improve our connections to businesses, private foundations, and individuals with philanthropic goals.”
Connors was most recently Vice President for Institutional Advancement at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue and Brooklyn. Before her work at St. Joseph’s – where she raised $40 million in gifts and grants – Connors was Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Adelphi University, and responsible for the school’s first $1 million gift. She is a partner at Brainstorm Creative Group, a fundraising, communications and marketing firm.
Connors will join Farmingdale next month.
