Pollinating Your Garden Workshop

Pollinating Butterfly

Saturday, 4/22, 9 – 11 a.m.    Sustainable Garden Kiosk

“It’s All About Diversity – Attracting Pollinators To Your Garden” is a special Earth Day event sponsored by the Department of Urban Horticulture & Design.

Jennifer Cappello-Ruggiero, Horticulture and 4H Educator at the Nassau County Cornell Cooperative Extension office, East Meadow Farm, is the guest speaker.

Whether creating a new garden or enhancing an existing one, you can attract pollinators to your garden. You will learn about the benefits of attracting pollinators to your garden, and discover which pollinators are already there. Learn how changing some of your landscape practices will attract pollinators and promote a healthy ecosystem – an ecosystem that provides food and shelter for regional wildlife and can often require less input and management.

Admission is $10 for Sustainable Garden members and $15 for non-members; admission is free to FSC students. For more information, email verackm@farmingdale.edu or call 631-420-2392.

Please print and post this flyer: Sustainable Garden workshop.
