Lecture on Struggling Readers
April 10, 2017
Thursday, 4/27, 10:50 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. Knapp Hall University Club
Dr. Michael Figuccio, assistant professor of psychology, will discuss readers who struggle, the warning signs for potential problems, and brain and behavioral evidence from infancy through school age.
Also to be covered is how music perceptual abilities predict later reading and spelling skills. Early recognition of children at risk allows for treatment to begin when it can do the most good.
The lecture is part of the Eleanor Fapohunda Colloquium Series. For more information call 631-420-2467 or email warrene@farmingdale.edu
