Alumni Association Adds New Board Members

Farmingdale’s Alumni Association is proud to announce the addition of two members to its Board of Directors: Susan Ring ’77 and Julie Allegretti ’09.
Ring is Director of Relationship Banking, Senior Vice President – Banking Division at Astoria Bank, a position she has held since 2003. She holds an AS in Business Administration from FSC and a BS in Business Administration and Management from Adelphi.
Ring received the 2016 Woman of Distinction Award from Nassau County; is a board member and past president of Safe Center LI, and a volunteer with FSC’s TRiO Student Support Services.
Allegretti graduated from FSC with a BS in Security Systems, the AS in Criminal Justice, and the AS in Liberal Arts and Sciences, all within her 4 ½ years here. She was also active outside the classroom, as a member of the women’s tennis team; founding member/treasurer of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society; and a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Currently, she is a member of FSC’s GOLD Alumni Committee.
Allegretti has a closet full of awards, including the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Award; the “Celebrate Long Island’s Young Professionals” Award from the Huntington Chamber of Commerce; and the Excellence in Communication Award from Long Island Business News.
Allegretti works at Stony Brook University as Programs Assistant at the Center for Biotechnology.
