MaDO: An Ultrafast Nonlinear Pseudorandom Number Generator
October 17, 2016
Tuesday, 10/18 at 11 a.m.; Campus Center Ballroom C
MaD0, an ultrafast non-cryptographic PRNG that has a novel two-layer design and demonstrates excellent randomness, long period, fast recovery from biased states, and ease of use properties. pseudorandom number generators are the essential starting point for probably half the calculations done in scientific and industrial computing. Having a better generator will make all of them a little more reliable.
This research colloquium is presented by Dr. Jie Li, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Systems. This free event is open to all.
