SUNY’s Got Your Back
August 29, 2016
Last week, President John Nader joined more than 40 FSC students and staff from Systems Administration to help fill backpacks needed by victims of domestic violence.

More than 3,500 backpacks were filled at the PGA’s Barclays golf tournament and taken to The Safe Center in Bethpage for distribution to those who often leave their home with nothing except what they are wearing.
Launched in the spring, the SUNY Title IX Coordinators Association (STIXCA) launched its Got Your Back campaign, beginning a program to provide support and comfort items to victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. SUNY’s Got Your Back program has had nearly 4,000 bags completed and pledged among SUNY campuses across New York State.
