Update to Barclay’s PGA Parking

Reminder:  Farmingdale State College has partnered with the Barclays PGA Tour to facilitate a golf event being held at Bethpage State Park this month.  This will affect your access to the campus.

From August 22-28, enter the campus through the Melville Road entrance and park in parking lots 1, 8, 9, 10, and 11. This is the area between  Roosevelt Hall and the Child Care Center. Barclays attendees and support staff will be using all other parking areas on campus.

PLEASE understand that there will be Barclays traffic entering and exiting campus at both locations. There will be bus shuttles transporting individuals to Bethpage and returning them to campus. Individuals authorized to park in these areas to attend the event will have received parking credentials from the  Barclays Tournament. The campus does not have parking credentials for the Barclays parking areas.

Both the Melville Road Entrance and the Route 110 Entrance to the campus will have Police checkpoints controlling access to the campus. Individuals authorized access to the area will have credentials allowing them through the control point. All others will be directed to park in the areas defined above.

A decision is pending regarding how disabled members of the campus community will be assisted.
