President Keen’s Farewell Fiesta

A standing ovation greeted a visibly surprised President Hubert Keen who entered the Little Theater with the understanding that he was providing remarks for Cinco de Mayo celebration – but in reality, it was a Farewell Fiesta planned by campus staff.

With thanks to Rambassadors Aiden Reilly, Lauren Liegmann, Preethi Gaayathri and Kirshani Gunaratnam, everyone was seated and (somewhat) quiet so that Pat Calabria could bring him into chants of “surprise!”

In addition to all of the good wishes from Lloyd Makarowitz on behalf of the faculty and staff, President Keen received the following gifts from a grateful  campus community:

Patricia Hill Williams (representing the College Council):  Key to the Campus
George P. LaRosa (representing Administration): Track Suit Embroidered with “President Emeritus” and a piece of Nold Hall’s bleachers titled “Sally’s Seat”
Tom Corti (representing students and Student Government): Binoculars
Adrian Sinnott (with thanks to Phil Simone for arranging): Humorous Sketch of President Keen Driving
Brian Maher: MC and Farewell Fiesta Song
Jonathan Goldstein: Farewell Fiesta Video
