Elmira Bayrasli – internationally noted entrepreneur, author, and advocate for giving women a media voice on foreign policy – will speak on replicating the success of Silicon Valley both in the U.S. and internationally, at Farmingdale State College on Thursday, March 31.

Bayrasli has spent the last 20 years working on international development, global startups, and foreign policy. She is the author of From the Other Side of the World: Extraordinary Entrepreneurs, Unlikely Places (Public Affairs, 2015), which examines the growth of innovation beyond Silicon Valley, focusing on talented individuals around the world who have overcome insurmountable obstacles to lead high-growth businesses.
