Chip Gorman Inducted into Aviation HOF

Alumnus George “Chip” Gorman (‘87) became the latest member of the Aviation Hall of Fame at a ceremony held last week at theAviation Center.

He was honored for his efforts on behalf of the College, including the promotion of Farmingdale’s Aviation program at the annual Memorial Day festivities at Jones Beach State Park. He created the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show and, with his support, the Aviation program has participated in the event the last three years.

Gorman is the Deputy Regional Director of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation.
Also at the Hall of Fame dinner, President Keen was named an Honorary Aviator.
