The Social Justice/ Diversity Summit: Continuing Difficult Dialogues
This exciting day will begin with guest speakers who will inspire us all to action. Outstanding speakers include:
- Bernice Sims, Author of Detour at Midnight
- Reverend Doctor Alfonso Wyatt
- Elaine Gross, President of Erase Racism and Summit Moderator
Marge Rogatz, Lifetime Community Advocate, will be honored at the Summit.
The Summit will bring awareness of social justice issues through participation in educational roundtables led by local community experts. Engaging conversation will be held in the following discussion groups:
- Environmental Justice
- Food Justice (and Food Security)
- Health Disparities
- Immigration
- LGBT
- Race
- Housing Discrimination
- Educational Disparities
- Mental Health
- Criminal Justice and many others
All are welcome. Participants will leave with tangible resources and opportunities to create change in their own communities
