The Long Island Dietetic Association and FSC’s School of Health Sciences are teaming up for the 3rd Annual Food and Nutrition Expo, to be held in the Campus Center Ballroom A, and all members of the campus community are invited free of charge. The event – part of National Nutrition Month – is also open to the public.
The Expo will include complimentary nutrition information, free food samples, food demos, raffles, health screenings and more. Dietitian nutritionists and dietetic technicians will be on hand, joined by dietetic, dental, nursing and medical lab technology students from the School of Health Sciences. Donations of non-perishable food for Island Harvest are encouraged.
The LIDA mission is to educate the community on the importance of proper nutrition and connect the public to local food and nutrition experts. For more information about its work visit their website.
