Who Taught Whom? Psychology Students Ask the Question
November 23, 2015
Last spring FSC’s Psi Chi and Psychology Club traveled together to Little Flower Children and Family Services* to spend the afternoon baking cookies with the children. During their time together, they learned a great deal of information from these children.
From Club Advisor Marya Carter, “When we arrived, we thought we would be teaching and inspiring them to ‘do good’ and to follow their dreams. Little did we know that we were the ones who would be inspired by the children.”
On December 6, the Psychology Club will again visit Little Flower to spend more time with the children.
Former student Maureen Goodman said it best, “From becoming covered in cookie dough, chocolate, and flour, watching creativity at its finest with the decorations of various monster cookies and such, and then ending it with an amazing heart-to-heart with a boy I will always remember – today taught us many things.”
