This outrageous musical comedy takes a satirical look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall under the influence of marijuana, leading them down a hysterical and evil path of debauchery. The stage show debuted in Los Angeles in 1998, and was later adapted for television. Kevin Murphy, who wrote the lyrics and co-authored the book with Dan Studney (music), won an Emmy for the song “Mary Jane/Mary Lane.”
