Conservatory Dedicated to Dr. Iversen
November 2, 2015
The Conservatory in the Horticulture Teaching Gardens was dedicated to Dr. Richard Iversen last month in a ceremony that featured donors Manuel H. and Claire Barron, whose generosity and support through their philanthropic fund to the Alumni Association made possible the renovation of this campus landmark.
President Keen greeted 35 members of the campus community at the ceremony, including College Council Chair Patricia Hill Williams, Alumni Association Board President Joe Egan, Urban Horticulture Chair Jonathan Lehrer, and past Chair Gary Brown. A plaque was unveiled honoring the efforts of Dr. Iversen in spearheading the preservation of the Conservatory and will be placed inside the Victorian structure.
