Project-Based Learning

Four experts in Project-Based Learning from Worchester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts were on campus recently to promote this SUNY-endorsed program and instruct 15 FSC faculty in its execution. Project-Based Learning is a high-impact pedagogy for active, applied, experiential learning that SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher encourages SUNY campuses to embrace.

Under the plan, students work with faculty and one another to develop solutions to real-world problems in local and international communities. Next spring, FSC’s 15-member contingent will travel to Worchester Polytechnic for more training.
