As usual, fall Convocation will be held the Thursday before classes begin, so mark Thursday, August 24 on your calendar.

President Nader’s remarks will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Roosevelt Hall Little Theater.

A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room, so come early to catch up with friends and colleagues.

There were so many riders using the free RAM shuttle this past semester that extended hours have been scheduled for the fall.  RAM rides start the first day of classes and continue through finals (8/28/17 – 12/19/17). The shuttle is free and open to students, faculty, staff and alumni, Monday through Friday. It is wheelchair accessible.

The shuttle picks up riders in front of Laffin Hall, for stops at the LIRR station in the Village of Farmingdale and the Aviation Center.

The 2017 SUNY Diversity Conference – “Engaging Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity in the Classroom, Campus and Community” – will be held  November 29 – December 1 at the Albany Marriott.

The conference will leverage SUNY investments in student success and diversity while exploring best practices in recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff within the domain of higher education. State University faculty (full-time and contingent), administrators and staff are invited to attend.

Nursing major Bradley Correia ’18 has won the 2016-2017  Excellence and Student Initiative Scholarship Award from SUNY’S ACT (Association of Council Members and College Trustees).

Correia has been an outstanding student, appearing regularly on the President’s and Dean’s lists.  He was awarded six scholarships over the last two years, and during that time earned memberships in the FSC chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Nursing Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
